Dan Swier, LMSW received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Hope College and his Master of Social Work Degree from Michigan State University. He has been working professionally in West Michigan since 2005, gaining experience while helping individuals along their journey. Dan sees the value in each person, strives to help them to feel valued and to see that value in themselves. Dan knows that lives are complex and takes a holistic approach to counseling, focusing on the mind, body, and spirit. He believes that each person has the ability to live well and is honored to have the opportunity to help people along the path to wellness.

Dan is a peaceful person whose presence brings a sense of calm to the room. This has been a constant through his time guiding individuals, families, and small groups through struggles related to depression, anxiety, substance use, health problems, stress, grief, dementia, life transitions, and relationship struggles. Dan seeks to partner with clients to facilitate growth and healing utilizing person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and solution-focused approaches. He strives to help others overcome barriers, connect to the peace within themselves, and to find joy in the world.
