Sherry Griswold, LMSW is a Licensed Master's Social Worker in the State of Michigan. While living in Tennessee she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and then her Master's degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University. Sherry has a variety of work experiences in the mental health field. Her job experiences include counseling homeless and runaway youth, working in the foster care system, substance abuse treatment, and also 25 years of experience working as a Social Worker in the Public Schools. These experiences has led to comfort levels with working with adults, adolescents and children age 8 and older.

Sherry uses several treatment modalities in her practice including Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems/Parts Work, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Her style and approach in treatment is based on the individual and specific needs.

As a therapist, Sherry believes in working collaboratively with each individual to develop a partnership in their efforts to heal. She helps people explore their inner strengths, make desired changes, and work toward inner peace. The focus in treatment begins with mindful exploration and increasing self-awareness through gentle curiosity. Understanding that life can be complicated and present many challenges, support is given as individuals learn, grow, and heal. Sherry encourages the understanding that each individual has the knowledge within themselves to work toward a resolution of symptoms and toward a heathier balance in life.
